5 Things you never know about George RR Martin

5 THINGS YOU NEVER KNOW ABOUT GEORGE RR MARTIN
After the unexpected deaths(specially jon snow, who is one of the favourite character and admired mostly by Game of Throne fans), scenes and events in Game of Thrones, it created a lot of reactions, opinions and even disappointments of the viewers to the show. Well, all this things were caused by one person, the one who writes the story, the one who decides whom shall be saved and not. And that's George RR Martin. Here are some facts about this notorious killer:

5.He owns a cinema. The Game of Thrones author owns the Jean Cocteau Cinema in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

4. George RR Martin actively involved wolf charities. George RR Martin donates $10,000 to UK
wolf conservation trust a wolf charity in UK and he also holding an online auction for a wolf charity.

3. The first piece of writing. Martin ever got published was a letter he wrote to a magazine arguing that Stan Lee was a better  writer than Shakespeare. He would also write letters to Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. Here’s one from when Martin was 15.

2. A song of ice and fire was originally planned to have only 3 books. A Song of Ice and Fire isn't the most-extended fantasy series ever or anything (Wheel of Time represent), but it's certainly notable - Martin had originally planned the story to take place over three books, but in the midst of the third book realized he needed more room to do justice to this story. Four, four books should do it. Then - wait, no, it's gonna be six. Yes, six is the magic number. Two trilogies that tell one overarching story of power and greed.

1. He was born George Raymond Martin. The Raymond came from his father, longshoreman Raymond Collins Martin. He added the second R. – for Richard – after his confirmation in the Roman Catholic Church, aged 13, which is apparently something people do. In case you were wondering if his books are maybe at odds with his faith, Martin  has long since confessed he now has more atheistic leanings.
